Accessibility Statement
Statement last updated: 15 October 2026. On 14 October 2026 automated and manual accessibility checks were run on the Site. The automated check (axe) found no violations, and Lighthouse returned an accessibility score of 100. These checks do not guarantee that the Site is fully accessible.
Rocking Israel is committed to making our website and services accessible to people with disabilities, so everyone can enjoy the music, the shows and the information we publish.
Conformance
We aim for the Site to meet the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013 (Regulation 35) and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 level AA. We keep checking and improving accessibility, and cannot guarantee full conformance on every page and component.
What we did
- Standard semantic structure (headings, landmarks, lists) compatible with screen readers.
- Full keyboard navigation, a "Skip to content" link and a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Language and text direction declared on every page (Hebrew right-to-left, English left-to-right).
- Colour contrast per the standard; text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content.
- Alternative text for meaningful images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
- The operating-system "reduce motion" setting is respected; no audio autoplays.
- Forms with labels, text error messages and clear instructions.
- Captions for videos containing speech, where under our control.
- The Site does not rely on a third-party accessibility overlay/widget; accessibility is built into the code.
Accessibility menu
Every page has an accessibility button (the international accessibility symbol) at the side of the screen, just below the top bar. It opens an accessibility menu we built ourselves, in Hebrew and English, with these options:
- Increase and decrease text size (up to 150%).
- High contrast, inverted colors and monochrome (black and white).
- Highlight links and highlight headings.
- Readable font.
- Line and letter spacing.
- Stop animations and motion.
- Larger mouse cursor.
- Reset all settings, and a link to this statement.
The menu works fully from the keyboard (Tab to move, Enter or Space to activate, Esc to close). Your settings are saved only in your own browser (localStorage) for your next visit; they are not sent to us.
Known limitations
- Embedded third-party content (Spotify, YouTube, Instagram) and external ticketing systems are not fully under our control. If you have difficulty, contact us and we will help you book or get the information another way.
- Downloadable documents (e.g. technical riders, press kits) not yet made accessible will be provided in an accessible format on request.
- Song and album titles appear as the artists wrote them, in several languages, so screen readers may mispronounce some of them.
Accessibility at our shows and events
Our shows take place in different clubs and venues, and each venue is responsible for its own physical access. Before a show, contact us and we will find out about parking, entrance, toilets and accessible seating or standing areas for you, and help you book an accessible place.
Public reception
Rocking Israel has no physical office or service location and does not receive the public. Service is provided by phone, email and through this website.
